•Attend hearings at all legal forums (courts and regulatory bodies) on behalf of the company and circulate a updated status to line manager after each hearing. •Maintain periodical litigation review report presented to the higher management, assessing potential risks and possible outcomes in consultation with line manager. •Prepare materials for external legal counsel including board resolutions and power of attorney. •Organize and maintain all files relating to litigation and administrative matters. •Assist line manager with engaging appropriate legal counsels to represent the company at legal forums. •Establish legal contacts directory according to area of expertise and seniority of counsels for potential litigation. •Keep track of targets pertaining to recovery from litigation and accompany line manager to settlement meetings on disputed/recoverable amounts. •Submit draft comments/responses for cases at all legal forums such as Lower and High Courts, Tribunals, NEPRA, EOBI etc. to line manager for review. •Keep track of legal notices and try to resolve the issues internally as far as possible before seeking assistance of external counsel. •Take regular updates from external panel of lawyers regarding the cases forwarded and submit a weekly report to line manager. •Develop a deep understanding of company's business and products and the applicable industry developments and requirements. •Assist in the support and management of development and enforcement of all brand-related intellectual property, especially trademarks, copyright registrations and domain name registrations in collaboration with external counsel. •Assist and coordinate with sales/agencies for counterfeit raid enforcement. •Liaise with external counsel for opinions/legal advice in specialized area of law. •Interpret statutes for compliance purpose. •Prepare comparative analysis between new and old statutes. •Provide support to the line manager on all special projects. •Any other job assigned by the management
