Position KPI

Summary of key functions:

  • Support development, implementation and success of the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Strategy by collaborating with diverse stakeholders and focusing mostly on private sector partners including Corporations, Impact investors, CSR managers, family/private foundations and High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI).
  • Assist in the facilitation of stakeholder engagement that leads to successful partnership initiatives and resource mobilization
  • Work with internal teams to support the design and operationalize a comprehensive and strategic positioning strategy
  • Work with internal teams to support the design knowledge platform for codification of knowledge and follow-on communication of results, specifically in the area of Innovation and SDG Financing

1. Partnerships and Resources Mobilization

  • Support the development and implementation of the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Strategy with defined timelines and milestones under the guidance of Senior Management and in close collaboration with staff in the Strategic Positioning Unit and other Programme Unit leads.
  • Provide inputs to design and implement a partnership strategy that includes specific areas of collaboration.  The strategy shall focus on non-traditional / innovative partnerships with the private sector / business sector, social entrepreneurs, investors, government (as a financing partner) and other actors.  The strategy will also map-out potential partners in relation to the priorities of the organization, their value added and potential roles.
  • Draft a complimentary fund-raising strategy with timelines and milestones
  • Undertake external and internal analysis that maps out opportunities for partnerships and resource mobilization.
  • Scanning of opportunities in the country; identification of where organization strengths overlap with partner/stakeholder needs
  • Analysis of the Government of Pakistan’s federal and provincial budgets and investment targets to identify areas for collaboration, as well as the policy and legal frameworks for private-public impact investments
  • Explore, map and identification of new and emerging sources of partnerships, funding and innovation and potential for the future

 

2. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support the creation of a suitable enabling space to broker productive dialogue between Government of Pakistan, private sector, social entrepreneurs, civil society, development partners and organization with the purpose of identify business opportunities and policy innovations that are supportive of scaling up SDG related development impact.
  • Network and connect with key government, industry, financial institutions and development partners in order to build strategic alliances that establishes a pipeline of bankable ventures
  • Keep abreast of the evolving development finance and innovation landscape to identify new stakeholders, new gaps or barriers, and how the organization can act as a catalyzing force to resolve challenges faced by social entrepreneurs, social businesses and social impact investors
  • Participate in and organize high value and media attractive events, policy dialogues, roundtables, forums, and other awareness and networking opportunities, supportive of organization’s innovation and partnerships strategy
  • Preparation and closing of organization standard partnership documents such financing agreements, letters of intent, MOUs, etc.

3. Strategic Positioning and Innovation

  • Contribute to the design of a multi-level business model for the following: ‘organization as the development consultant of choice’, ‘organization as a catalyst of Innovation’ and ‘organization as the partner for SDG Impact Financing’ in order to promote organization’s development services to prospective partners / clients
  • Support the articulation of organization’s UVP (unique value proposition) (i.e. preparation of a ‘menu’ of organization development services that clearly resonates organization’s value added)
  • Input into the government cost sharing strategy and implementation plan
  • In collaboration with programme team leads and the innovation lead, contribute to strategize on the use of new ways of doing development work and promote innovative approaches to create development solutions

4.  Knowledge Management and Communication of Results

  • Makes substantive contributions to organization corporate business development through the participation in regional for a, webinar and other applicable means, focusing on partnerships and innovations for financing for development
  • Supports the codification of knowledge and communication of results
  • Facilitates discussions and strategy-setting for scaling up of organization projects in terms of outreach, policy impact and sustainability.
  • Assists senior management in the participation of national and international events to promote organization-Pakistan’s work and results.
  • Develop an innovative model for reporting and communicating organization’s success.

Years of Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience at the national or international level (with a Master’s degree).
